House Chairman in Big Trouble


The leadership of the House of Representatives may prevail on the Committee Chairman on Capital Market, Hon. Herman Hembe, to stand down over Thursday’s corruption charges against him.
The decision will be taken on Tuesday when the matter is tabled at the plenary, a principal officer of the House told us.

The spokesman of the House, Hon Zakari Mohammed, confirmed that the allegation against Hembe would be discussed during plenary on Tuesday but denied knowledge of plans to ask him to step aside as the head of the probe panel
