Heathrow staff have been put through their paces to ensure they are fully prepared for an enormous increase in the amount of baggage coming through the terminals. Spectators, tourists and the athletes themselves are set to swamp the airport with luggage. The number of bags is set to soar by around 20 per cent on the day before the Olympics. And it is set to be busy throughout the Games before the massive getaway after the closing ceremony.
